Glenda Faye Ivey, age 71, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2026. Born on January 12, 1955, in Carrollton, Georgia, Glenda lived a life defined by her love for family, a servant's heart, unwavering faith, and a joyful sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronnie Ivey; her mother, Erma Jean Holland; and her father, Lawrence Holland.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Becky Perry and her husband, Chuck; her grandchildren, Jonah Ivey and Isabella Ivey Kessler and her husband, Ian; her brothers, Donnie Holland and his wife, Mandy, Danny Holland and his wife, Ellen, and Chris Holland and his wife, Angela; and her sister, Letitia Wynn and her husband, Barry.
She is also survived by her nephews Jason Wynn and his wife, Heather; Josh Wynn and his wife, Cryssi; Jamie Wynn and his wife, Cara; Hunter Holland; Michael Holland; and Maddox Holland; her nieces Ansley Ainge and her husband, Joey; Morgan Oldham and her husband, Hunter; Ivey Jacops and her husband, Ryan; and Ellie Holland; her great-nieces Mikayla Moomey and her husband, Alex; Julia Giddens and her husband, Zach; Alivia Wynn; Alexa Wynn; and Annistyn Wynn; her great-nephews Bryson Wynn, Owen Wynn, Ronin Oldham, and Miles Jacops; and her great-great-nephews, Xander Moomey and Knox Giddens, along with many other extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Glenda's caring spirit was evident from an early age when she volunteered as a candy striper at Cobb General Hospital. She later served her community while working at Wyatt's Pharmacy and in the Emergency Department at Parkway Regional Hospital before becoming the office manager at Wynn's Intensive Lawn Care, where she worked alongside her sister and brother-in-law.
Family was the center of Glenda's life. She loved making people laugh with her quick wit and playful sense of humor and had a special gift for bringing joy to those around her.
A devoted Georgia Bulldogs fan and loyal Atlanta Braves supporter, Glenda especially looked forward to Saturdays in the fall cheering on the Bulldogs. She also cherished her beloved dachshunds, Abbie and Tootsie, who brought her endless companionship and happiness. She was always in the kitchen helping prepare meals for family gatherings, creating traditions and memories that will be treasured for generations.
Her faith remained an important part of her life. She faithfully watched the Sunday services from First Baptist Church Villa Rica each week and quietly reflected her compassionate heart through her faithful support of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the North American Mission Board.
Above all, Glenda will be remembered for the love she shared so freely with her family and friends. Her kindness, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those she loved created a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 12:00PM until 2:00PM. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Jamie Wynn officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the North American Mission Board, two organizations that were especially meaningful to Glenda and reflected her caring and giving spirit.
