Glenn Hiram Thurber, Jr.

Mr. Glenn Hiram Thurber, Jr., 65, of Yantis, Texas, formerly of Temple, Georgia passed away Monday, September 4, 2006. He was born May 7, 1941 in Dade County, Florida. Mr. Thurber was the son of the late Mr. Glenn Hiram Thurber, Sr. and the late Mrs. Luella Green Thurber. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thurber was preceded in death by his daughter, Debbie Lynn Thurber and his sisters, Thelma Thurber and Barbara Thurber. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Thornton Thurber of Temple, his sons, Ricky Thurber of Temple, James Thurber of Temple, Joey Thurber of Quebec, Tennessee, Tony Thurber of San Diego, California and Donnie Thurber of Temple; his sisters, Rachel Rivers of Yantis, Texas, Frances Heart of Bremen, and Viola Bryant of Stark, Florida; 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Minister Rick Dobson officiating Interment will follow in New Hope Primitive Cemetery in Villa Rica, Georgia.
