Glenn Jarrett Freeman

Mr. Glenn Jarrett Freeman, age 65, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Freeman was born October 10, 1943 in Savannah, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. J. C. Freeman and the late Mrs. Flossie Mae Cawthorn Freeman. He married Mavis Lackey in Hiram, Georgia on April 1, 1967. Mr. Freeman worked as a car salesman and in his free time, he enjoyed working on cars and considered himself a “shade-tree mechanic”. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and took pride in the care of his entire family. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mrs. Mavis Lackey Freeman of Carrollton; his daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona Freeman of Bowdon, Beth Freeman and her husband, Jon Thompson of Bowdon and Marlena and Zack Barnwell of Carrollton; his sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia Hagen of Villa Rica, Alethea Coleman of Carrollton, Laura Estrada of Villa Rica, Tiny Clark of Bowdon and Dora and Ricky Woods of Bowdon; his brother, Jerry Freeman of California; his niece and caregiver, April Farmer; a number of grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Celebrant Glenn P. Gilmore officiating.
