Mrs. Gloria Batten Barrett Flournoy, age 61, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at her residence. She was born November 18, 1948 in Douglas, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Johnnie Batten, Sr. and the late Mrs. Juanita Hope Batten. She was a member of Crossroads Full Gospel Church. She owned and operated Harmonâs Restaurant in Powder Springs for over 29 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling and was a devout Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank C. Barrett, Jr. She is survived by her husband, John Flournoy of Villa Rica; daughter and son-in-law, Hilary Barrett Outen and her husband, Kerry of Villa Rica; son, Frank C. Barrett, III of Douglas, GA; stepson, Johnathan Flournoy of Villa Rica and stepdaughter, Beverly Helms of Phoenix City, AL; brother and sister-in-law, Johnnie Batten, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth of Douglas; 3 grandchildren, Coby, John, and Luke; nieces and nephews, Sarah, Burke, and Hannah. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Wayne Landmon officiating. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, October 8, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, October 9, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
