Gordon Fields, Sr.

Mr. Gordon Raymond Fields, Sr., age 79, of Temple, Georgia passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness. He was born November 3, 1933 in Paulding County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Clifford Austin Fields and Mrs. Beatrice Mae Wisener Fields. He retired from the United States Air Force following 20 years of service. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Temple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Eloise Pitman Fields; sisters, Mary Cole, Lois Watson, and Lessie Dean Perren; brothers, Walter Fields, Howard Fields, James Lovie Fields, and Charles Fields. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gordon Raymond Fields, Jr. and Wanda Fields of Temple; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Kay and Bob Quattrocchi of Suwanee; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruth Swafford; and Marcella and Harold Davis all of Temple; four grandchildren, Altairis Lynn Fields Hogan, Gordon Fields, III and his wife, Sewa, Michelle Kay Fields Gerald and her husband, Daniel Gerald, and Kimberly Quattrocchi; six great-grandchildren, Kaylynn Fields, Tailea Wise, Brandon Hogan, Mikayla Fields, Daniel Fields, and Eloise Fields; numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, September 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Full Military Honors will be provided by members of the United States Air Force Honor Guard. According to Mr. Fields’ wishes his body was cremated.
