Grover Cleon Reese

Grover Cleon Reese, age 75, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away on April 16, 2024. He was born on July 15, 1948, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Mr. John B. Reese and the late Mrs. Inez Walden Reese. 

Grover was known for his easy-going nature, family-oriented personality, and his “No Problem” attitude. Grover will be remembered for his love of working with his hands. He loved working outdoors, took great pride in woodworking and had a passion for gardening. Additionally, he was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved spending time with loved ones at the annual family barbecue. Grover's proudest accomplishments were without a doubt, his dear wife Penny, and his family.

In addition to his parents, Grover was predeceased by his brothers, Wayne Reese and Glynn Reese; sisters, Margaret Reese and Joanne Gregory.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Penny Reese; sons, Quentin (Sally) Reese, Clayton (Leyna) Reese; daughters, Tonya (Juan) Esparra, Beth Reese; grandchildren, Jessica (Troy) Waxler, Cody (Courtni) Reese, Kaitlyn (Colt) Travis, Tiffany (Patrick) McGovern, JW Reese, Grayson Reese and Waylon Reese; great-grandchildren, Jayce Waxler and Gannon Waxler; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 12:00 PM; The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville - with Minister Joseph York officiating.
