Mrs. Gussie Lee Bradley Bester, age 89, of Douglasville, Georgia formerly of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away Friday, November 2, 2012. She was born August 30, 1923 in Rose Hill, Mississippi the daughter of the late Mr. Tump Ivory Bradley and the late Mrs. Martha Goins Bradley. She worked in the housekeeping department of the Gulfport Memorial Hospital. She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahâs Witnesses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fisher Bester, Jr.; son, Lee William Plummer and brother, Willie T. Bradley. She is survived by four daughters, Ruby Jones of Douglasville, GA, Barbara McGrew of Picayune, MS, Ethell Jackson and Delsia Davis both of Austell, GA; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Lycurtis and Sarah Bester of Powder Springs, GA, Alvin Bester, Fred and Phyllis Bester, Kenneth and Lillie Bester, Delbert Bester all of Gulfport, MS, and Michael and Tiki Bester of Austell, GA; five sisters, Luella Sanders of Rose Hill, MS, Edna Lewis of Westbury, NY, Ernestine Bradley of Rose Hill, MS, Geneva Turner and Alice Bradley both of Westbury, NY; one brother, Hoover Bradley of Westbury, NY; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 2:00 PM from the Midway Kingdom Hall of Jehovahâs Witnesses in Powder Springs.
