Gwendolyn Sally Ann Phillip

Mrs. Gwendolyn Sally Ann Phillip, 48, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Phillip was born November 3, 1959 in St. Vincent, West Indies; the daughter of Augustin James of St. Lucia, and Theresa Llewellyn of Brooklyn, New York. Mrs. Phillip was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the West Metro Church of God. In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Lennox Phillip to whom she married on February 23, 1993; her daughters, Christina Llewellyn and Charissa Phillip, both of Villa Rica; sisters, Yoland Samuel, Joann Llewellyn, Beverly Ann Llewellyn, Margaret Justin, and Jacqueline Justin; brothers, Steve Llewellyn, Anthony Llewellyn, Wilfred Llewellyn, Wilfred Pierre, Desmond Pierre, Michael Pierre, Malcolm James, and Basil Williams; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. A Celebration of her life will be conducted Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 7:00 PM from West Metro Church of God with Pastor Glenn Rountree officiating. Interment will follow in Brooklyn, New York. The family will receive friends at West Metro Church of God on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 5:00 PM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to West Metro Church of God Benevolence Fund at 3858 Kingshighway, Douglasville, GA 30154.
