Harold Eugene Fowler, 84, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026. He was born on August 20, 1941, the son of the late JD Fowler and Louise Honea Fowler.
Harold’s career as a truck driver for Fowler Trucking, LLC, was characterized by an unwavering work ethic. Throughout his distinguished career, he navigated the vast network highways, driving through 48 states. His journeys were not merely a job but a testament to his perseverance and love for the open road.
Beyond the cab of his truck, Harold embraced the freedom and thrill that came with his interests. A devoted enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles and his affection for horses and trail riding echoed the passion for exploration and connection with nature. Additionally, his love for cars reflected an enduring fascination with mechanics and design.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela F. Morris (Jay) of Douglasville, Georgia, Tammy F. Yancey (Robby) of Douglasville, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Chad E. Fowler (Tracy) of Bremen, Georgia; grand-children and spouses Jordan Yancey (Tasha), Tyler Morris (Lydia), Brooke Harrell (Bryan), Abby Robbins (Taylor), Cody Fowler (Jasmyne), and Kaci Cobb (Cam), Justin Batchelor (Ansley), Kayla Hill (Blake), Chloe Batchelor; 12 great-grand-children; several nieces and nephews; sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Gaylor of Sardis, Alabama, Freda Morgan, and Dawn Battle (John) of Boaz, Alabama.
Visitation will be before the Memorial service on Saturday, June 27, 2026 starting at 10:00 am in the Atrium of First Baptist Church of Douglasville. Memorial service for Mr. Fowler will be conducted from First Baptist Church Sanctuary in Douglasville, Georgia, on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 11:00 am, with Reverend Tim Akin officiating.
Harold’s journey was one of purpose and spirited engagement with the world around him. His dedication to his career and his diverse interests speak to a life well-lived and deeply felt. As we remember Harold, we honor the mark he left behind—on the roads he traveled, the trails he rode, and in the hearts of those who were privileged to know him.
