Harold McCarty

Mr. Harold Junior McCarty, age 72, of Douglasville passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. He was born August 13, 1946, the son of the late Mr. Ezra Davis McCarty and Mrs. Alice Driver McCarty. He was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for several years and a dedicated prayer warrior. He was a carpenter for many years and could build anything. He enjoyed working on cars and doing yardwork. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hellin Jean McCleary McCarty; daughter, Jena McCarty Fowler of Douglasville, Georgia; son-in-law, Donald Woody of Lineville, Alabama; sister, Nellie Pope of Lithia Springs, Georgia; brother, Jimmy McCarty of Carrollton, Georgia; grandchild, Taylor and Jonathan Chaney; great grandchildren, Kinslee Woody and Kaylee Chaney.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Tuesday, December 18, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville with Rev. Howard Woody officiating.
