Mr. Harry Francis Cox, III, age 75, of Douglasville, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Douglasville, Georgia. He was born September 30, 1943 in Cumberland, Maryland, the son of the late Mr. Harry Francis Cox, Jr. and the late Mrs. Virginia Ida Smith Cox. Mr. Cox was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired salesman for Colonial Baking-Sara Lee. He was of the Catholic faith and his family was his life. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Newberry. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Donna Ruth Haralson Cox of Douglasville; his daughters, Donna Kay Clifton of Douglasville, Angela (Jason) Coleman of Marietta, Carol Haberkam of Mount Zion, Karen (Noah) Waits of Temple and Sheila (Vance) Craft of Douglasville; his sister, Janette Cox of Villa Rica; his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Debbie Cox of Fairview, Oklahoma; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville from 6:00PM until 8:00PM. According to Mr. Coxs wishes, he will be cremated and his cremains will be inurned at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton.
