Harry Guthrie

Mr. Harry Guthrie, 75, of Bluebird Lane, Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Friday, February 10, 2006 at his residence. He was born July 3, 1930 in Townley, Alabama the son of the late Mr. Raymond Guthrie and the late Mrs. Annie Nesmith Guthrie. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Bobbie Kirby on June 12, 1979 in Douglas County. He worked at the Atlanta Journal Constitution as a Printer in the Composing Room. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Guthrie. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bobbie Kirby Guthrie of Lithia Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Ronnie Wisner of Winston; two sons, Gary Guthrie of Georgia and David Guthrie of Douglasville; two sisters, Margaret Stone and Sarah Guthrie both of Powder Springs; one brother, Raymond Guthrie, Jr. of Carbon Hill, AL; five grandchildren, Brandon Guthrie, Rick Guthrie, Sheri Ann Wisner, Chad Wisner, and Tracee Guthrie; nine step-grandchildren, Casey Hight, Olivia Hight, Kristi Hight, Brandi Hight, Leslie Hight Davis, Ben Thames, Carrie Thames McElroy, Samuel Thames, Ted Hight; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, February 12, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Minister Allan Thames and Minister Randy Lamb officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 11, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
