Harvey Ray Johnson

Harvey Ray Johnson, age 74, of Temple, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2024. He was born on May 14, 1949, the son of the late James Augustus Johnson and the late Janie Derelle McClung Johnson.

Harvey will be remembered as a good and faithful servant of the Lord, who witnessed Christ’s gift of salvation to many. Harvey served the Lord through teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon of the church and an ordained minister. Harvey was proud to have served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Harvey’s happiness was found through his great love for Christ, his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His legacy lives though his loving wife, Susan Gail Johnson; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Tony Turner of Wedowee, Alabama, Tammy and Jim DeLoach of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Courtney and Zakk Vann of Roopville, Ga, Kelly and Dustin Williams of Villa Rica, Carley and Clayton Moore of Bremen, Ga, Abigail DeLoach of Villa Rica, Ga; great-grandchildren, Grayson, Skylar, Waylon, Jackson, Saylor, Jace, Reagan, and Ava; sister and brother-in-law, Ouida and Dale Spencer.

The family will have a private graveside service at Georgia National Cemetery. Pastor Chip Daniel will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Carroll County Veterans Memorial Park in memory of Harvey Ray Johnson at http://www.ccvmp.org
