Hattie Mae Benedfield McGathaMrs. Hattie Mae Benefield McGatha, age 84, of Villa Rica, passed away March 19, 2014. She was born May 8, 1929 in Sand Mt., AL the daughter of the late Mr. Silas Benefield and the late Mrs. Effie Jane Benefield. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie McGatha; children, Barbara Gail Phillips, Ollie Leon McGatha and Ralph McGatha.; three brothers and two sisters.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy McGatha of Villa Rica; sister, Nora James of Albertville, AL; two brothers, Robert T. Benefield of Albertville, AL, Howard Douglas Benefield of Albertville, AL; four grandchildren, Scottie Phillips of AL, Candace and Nick Blackmon of NC, Randy Todd McGatha of AL; Maranda Kiser of Villa Rica; six great grandchildren, Cody Phillips of Villa Rica, Ashley Phillips of Villa Rica, Hunter Blackmon of NC, Abby Blacmon of NC, Hunter Kiser of Villa Rica and Malaya Myalt of Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, March 23, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Stephens officiating.
