Mrs. Hazel Ruth Ivey Camp, age 90, of Villa Rica, passed away, Wednesday, September 13, 2017. She was born January 21, 1927 in Carroll County the daughter of the late Mr. William Lee Ivey and the late Mrs. Mary Clifti Broadwater Ivey. Mrs. Camp enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardening, quilting and was a Proverbs 31 woman. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a long time member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston. Mrs. Camp will be remembered by her famous words “five times in the morning”.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, John William Camp whom passed away, January 8, 2011; brother, Hudon Ivey; sisters, Jewel Gillispie, Clara Leopard, and Connie Vaughn.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and James Parker of Pell City, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Ginger Camp of Homosassa Springs, FL; sisters and brother-in-law, Jerry Cole of Douglasville, Sue and Larry Chadwick of Carrollton; brothers and sister-in-law, Robert and Carol Ivey of Douglasville, Gene Ivey of Carrollton; five grandchildren, Mechelle and Charles Davis, Stephanie and Joel Richards, Wendy Camp, Tracy and Francis Smith, Shannon and Kyle Henderson; 13 great-grandchildren, Madison Davis, Marissa Davis, Miranda Davis, Sarah Parker, Richard Parker, Jr., Tom Parker, William Parker, Megan Smith, Alexis Smith, Aubrey Smith, Austin Smith, Haley Henderson and Avery Henderson; step-great grandchildren, Josh and Ramsie Richards and Abby Richards, Brittany Davis, Julian Davis, and Spence Davis and wife; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Ivey; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, September 15, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funereal Home with Dr. Billy Godwin officiating. Interment will follow at Ephesus Cemetery.
