Hazel Coramae James Couch

Mrs. Hazel Coramae James Couch, age 76, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010 at her residence in Carrollton. She was born November 3, 1933 the daughter of the late Mr. Henry Roland James and the late Mrs. Edna Naomi Stitcher James Gladney. She was a member of the Temperance First Congregational Methodist Church in Sand Hill. She was retired from the Carroll County Board of Education where she worked at the Sand Hill Elementary School cafeteria. She was devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid animal lover and raised several different breeds of puppies. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Newt Couch; son-in-law, Rev. Robert Hix and two sisters, Elaine Carroll and Syble James. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, William Henry and Gayle Couch of Carrollton; two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Darnette Hix of Carrollton, and Tracey Lavern and Kenneth Roberts of Carrollton; sister and brother-in-laws, Eunice and Larry Sage of Cartersville, and Charles Carroll of Florida; two grandchildren, Caleb Couch of Carrollton, and Ashley Rotino of Villa Rica; special friend, Gene Swanger of Carrollton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 3:00 PM from the Temperance First Congregational Methodist Church in Sand Hill with Rev. Neal Williams and Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Temperance Cemetery in Sand Hill.
