Mrs. Hazel Louise Selman, age 95, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Monday, August 24, 2009. She was born May 27, 1914 in Unadilla, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Homer J. Collier and the late Mrs. Henrietta Elizabeth Lockerman Collier. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Douglasville. She served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years. She was a homemaker and a seamstress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold James Selman, Sr. whom she married in April of 1935; grandson, Charles Roaden; and her brothers, Homer Collier, Hubert Collier, and Harry Collier. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lila Jo and Wilson Henley of Douglasville; her son and daughter-in-law, Harold James Selman, Jr. and Susie Selman of Gainesville; 4 grandchildren, Renee Blackshear of Altrus, FL, Karen Bolin of Old Town, FL, Kathy Driver of Gillsville, GA, and Joy Hardin of Douglasville, GA; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the Victory Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 92/166 in Douglasville with Rev. Wilson Henley officiating. Interment will follow in Victory Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Friday, August 28, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
