Hazel Virginia Price Barrett

Mrs. Hazel Virginia Price Barrett, age 83, of Carrollton, Georgia formerly of Lithia Springs, Georgia, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at Douglasville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness. She was born March 17, 1927 in Vienna, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Arthur Price and the late Mrs. Amanda Duma McWhorter Price. She married Edward Lee Barrett on November 28, 1947 in Atlanta. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward Lee Barrett on March 30, 2007; sisters, Mae Louise Cooper and Ima June Morgan; and brothers, Mitchell Price, Merlin Price and Minford Price. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Janet Elaine and Eddie Stoker of Winston and Teresa Diane Bilotti of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Garland Winford and Jo Price of Powder Springs; one granddaughter and her husband, Amanda and Michael Patty of Jacksonville, AL; two great-grandsons, Declan and Owen Patty; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, July 25, 2010 at 2:30 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Michael White officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, July 24, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
