Mrs. Helen Humphries Butler, 80, of Old Town Road, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at her residence. She was born October 23, 1925 in Cobb County, Georgia the daughter of the late Rev. F.R. Humphries and the late Mrs. Flora Sheffield Humphries. She was a member of Fullerville Baptist Church and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having served for many years at the Villa Rica City Hospital. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, T.J. Butler; son, Melvin Douglas Butler; sisters, Irene Swafford, Betty Washington, and Dorothy Redding. She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Rev. Donald Butler of Temple, Larry Butler of Villa Rica, and Rev. Terry and Deborah Butler of Griffin; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Horace Wilson and Rev. Terry Butler officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Jimmy Pearson and Terry Williams. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Villa Rica with Rev. Donald Butler officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Thursday, June 1, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
