Helen Marie Phillips Fulghum

Mrs. Helen Marie Phillips Fulghum, age 74, of Winston, Georgia passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice. She was born March 18, 1936 in Deer Lodge, Tennessee the daughter of the late Mr. Lyndon Phillips and the late Mrs. Inez Markley Phillips. She married John “Jake” Fulghum on August 20, 1976. She was of the Methodist Faith. Mrs. Fulghum retired from Edwards Baking Company where she worked as a sales and purchasing coordinator. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. She was devoted to her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Phillps. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, John “Jake” Fulghum of Winston; daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia Cox of Jacksonville, FL, Karen and Ross Ferguson of Gainesville, Lori Rogers of Winston, and Sheila and Mark Mason of Douglasville; son, Johnny Fulghum of Temple; sister, Bernice Ross of Jamestown, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Thelma Phillips of Deer Lodge, TN; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Brown and Rev. Tim Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Mozley Memorial Gardens in Lithia Springs. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jacob Mason, Jordon Mason, Jeff Taylor, Michael Ringel, Joel Ross, and Dean Ross. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
