Hellin McCarty

Hellin McCarty, age 77, passed away Saturday, March 05, 2022. She was born May 01,1944, the daughter of the late Mr. John Frank McCleary and Mrs. Jena Jenkins McCleary. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jr. McCarty. Mrs. McCarty was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was a dedicated prayer warrior. She enjoyed taking care of others and worked as a caregiver and babysitter for many years. She also loved to cook from scratch. Mrs. McCarty was a very helpful, loving and caring woman who was dedicated to her family. She was funny, silly and always made everyone in the room laugh. Mrs. McCarty strived to see the good in people and would do whatever it took to see that their needs were met. She loved to plant flowers, especially roses. She also enjoyed picking apples from her apple trees and canning them for all to enjoy. Mrs. McCarty is survived by her daughter, Ms. Jena McCarty; brother, Bobby McCleary of Lithia Springs; granddaughter, Ms. Taylor Woody; great-granddaughters, Kinslee Woody and Kaylee Chaney of Douglasville, Georgia; as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 and Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. The funeral service will be on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel. Interment will be follow at Mozley Gardens in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
