Henry Dyer

Mr. Henry Ford Dyer, age 90, of Gadsden, passed away, Saturday, November 8, 2014. He was born November 9, 1923 in Gadsden, AL the son of the late Mr. J.M. Dyer and the late Mrs. Sussian Fields Dyer. Mr. Dyer was retired from Civil Service after 33 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Mae Leathers Dyer; son, Henry Barry Dyer; sisters, Opal Morris, Jewel Jacobs, Eva Harper, and Grace Martin; brothers, Olen Dyer, Roy Dyer, Ulius Dyer and Herman Dyer; brothers-in-law, Claude Leathers, Harold Leathers, and Hugh Leathers, sister-in-law, Helen Robinson.He is survived by his wife; Rachel Webb Dyer of Gadsden, AL; daughter, Linda Dyer Lynch of Gadsden, AL; step-sons; Gary Faulkner of Florida, Gerald Faulkner of Gadsden, AL; sister-in-law, Winnie Baxter of Carrollton; grandson, Dwayne and Amy Pittman of Madison, AL; two great-grandchildren, Bethany Pittman of Madison, AL and Bryce Pittman of Madison, AL. niece, Barbara McClendon and several other nieces and nephews survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 1:30 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Herman Wike officiating. Eulogy will be provided by Ralph Dyer.
