Henry Lamar Jackson, Jr.

Henry Lamar Jackson, Jr., 75, of Villa Rica, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 10, 1950, the son of the late Henry Lamar Jackson, Sr. and Ruth Wade Jackson.

Henry lived a life filled with passion, purpose, and a profound commitment. Henry devoted thirty-five years of his career to the United States Postal Service before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of reliability and service. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served honorably from 1973 to 1976.

Family meant everything to Henry. They were his greatest joy and his number one priority. He cherished the time spent with his loved ones. His enthusiasm for sports shone brightly as he took on the role of coach for various teams. He was an avid golf enthusiast and he enjoyed many memorable rounds of golf with a close-knit group of friends, often sharing stories that would leave them laughing. He was a huge Georgia Tech fan.

In addition to his family and hobbies, Henry was a member of First Baptist Church of Villa Rica. He served as a Deacon for many years, taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir.

He is survived by his wife Lynn Bolden Jackson; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and James Pirch of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Jennifer Jackson of Centerville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Laurie Jackson of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren; Leigh Pirch, Michael Jiles, Jackson “Jay” Pirch, Penelope Jackson, Andrew Jackson, and Nathan Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Memory Gardens.

Flowers are accepted; however, contributions can be made to American Heart Association.

Henry's life was characterized by unwavering love for his family and commitment to service. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
