Herbert Edward "RABBIT" Williams

Mr. Herbert Edward “Rabbit” Williams, 78 of Whitworth Road, Villa Rica, GA passed away, Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. He was born July 18, 1928 in Douglas County, Georgia the son of the late Ancy J. Williams and Jennie Ward Williams. He owned and operated his own auto repair and lawn mower repair garage and later in life retired from World of Services at South Wire Company in Carrollton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Seaborn Williams, and 2 sisters, Mary Agan and Pauline Phillips. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sara Cox Williams of Villa Rica, daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Thomas Duncan of Villa Rica, 2 grandsons, Matthew and Blake Duncan of Villa Rica, sisters and brother-in-law, Linda Miller and David Austin of Villa Rica, Joyce Huey of Temple, Shelby Clay of Villa Rica, Sue Williams of South Carolina, and Ila Gess of Carrollton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Franklin and Betty Williams and A.J. Williams all of Villa Rica, Hugh and Edna Williams of Waco, James and Eunice McElroy of Douglasville and Dean Gardner of Carrollton, a number of special nieces and nephews and neighbors also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Brown, Rev. Neal Williams and Rev. Anthony Puckett. Interment will follow in the Abilene Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Cagney Walker, Dean Hackney, Kenny Mullins, Arnold Warren, Michael Cox, Danny Williams, Steve Cochran, Jeff Pate, Benjie Bone, Nick Pullen, Jeremy Harris and Rev. Anthony Puckett. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Friday, March 9, 2007 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
