Herman Hudgins

Mr. Herman Hudgins, Jr., age 79, of Temple, Georgia passed away Monday July 4, 2011 at Grace Assisted Living in Douglasville. He was born May 12, 1932 in Cherokee County, Alabama, the son of the late Mr. Herman Hudgins, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mattie Hudgins Pierce. He worked as a heavy machine operator for Beck Pipe Line. Mr. Hudgins served in the U.S. Army from 1950-1952 having served in the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sonya Pritchard Hudgins and brother, Howard Hudgins. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Rebecca Hudgins of Temple; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday July 7, 2011 at 11:00AM from Meadowbrook Memory Gardens in Villa Rica with Rev. Homer Wilburn officiating. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica Thursday July 7, 2011 from 9:00AM until the funeral hour.
