Mr. Howard Donald “Don” Teal, age 79, of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014. He was born August 7, 1935 in Douglasville, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. Lucius Howard Teal and the late Mrs. Bertha Louise Hollis Teal. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Teal retired from AT&T, formerly known as BellSouth, after 32 years of service as a Telecommunication Manager. He was a member of the Douglasville Masonic Lodge #289, the Sweetwater Shrine and the Yaarab Shrine Temple of Atlanta. He was a licensed HAM radio operator. Mr. Teal loved hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Richard Russell Teal and his mother, Shirley Thompson Teal Lawson.He is survived by his wife, Debra “Debi” Hayes Teal of Douglasville; daughter, Donna Teal Moses of Lithia Springs; son and daughter-in-law, Adrian and Mitzi Teal of Douglasville; sister, Carol Teal Brown of Lithia Springs; brothers and sister-in-law, Jack and Phyllis Teal of Lithia Springs, Richard Teal of Lithia Springs; six grandchildren, Amber Moses, Richard Michael Teal, Austin, Adam, Alex and Ayden Teal; two great grandchildren, Bryson and Bella Teal. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and Friday, October 17, 2014 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, October 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Jerry Adair and Brother Steve Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
