Mr. Howard Wesley Williams, age 81, of Lithia Springs, Georgia passed away Monday, February 1, 2010 following an extended illness. He was born January 1, 1929 in Syracuse, Missouri the son of the late Mr. Forrest Williams and the late Mrs. Mattie L. Williams. He was of the Baptist Faith and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an electronic technician. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Word Williams of Lithia Springs; two brothers, Vernon Williams of Tipton, MO and Otto Williams of Newport News, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Shattles officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowdon. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
