Mr. Howard Wesley Wynn, 90 of Bowdon, formally of the Hickory Level Community, Carrollton, GA passed away, Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Memory Lane Assisted Living in Bowdon. He was born March 26, 1923 in Carroll County, GA the son of the late Charles Wesley Wynn and the late Mrs. Mary Lee Cantrell Wynn. Mr. Wynn enjoyed his career as a contractor and craftsman. His career included both building and remodeling. He had a talent of creating and building that was well known in our area. He constructed and remodeled many homes and constructed homes are many in our area and in several surrounding counties. During the span of many years, Mr. Wynn formed and operated Wynn Builders and later co-founded and co- owned B & W Properties that developed several well know properties in our area. Mr. Wynn loved his farm and lakes along with his gardening and his livestock. He loved growing fruit, vegetables, flowers and sharing with others. He was a southern farmer and southern gentleman. Mr. Wynn enjoyed having a woodshop on his land where he created many pieces for his family, neighbors, and friends. He was known for his ability to create a piece from a picture. He loved his family and his beloved dogs. His pride and joy were his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and showing them around his farm, lakes, and garden. He was a member of the Flat Rock Baptist Church for many years.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Glenn Wynn, 2 sons, Charles W. Wynn and Thomas D. âTommyâ Wynn; Brothers, Hiram Wynn, Roy Wynn, Jim Wynn and Hershel Wynn; sisters, Ruth Wynn Mayfield, Lucille Wynn Clowdis and Inez Wynn Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Wynn Doggett and her husband, Larry Doggett of Ranburn, AL, and Helen Wynn Ward of Villa Rica; daughters-in-law, Dana Jones Wynn of Villa Rica and Gina Wynn of Douglas, sister, Sara Nell Wynn Kidd of Carrollton; Grandchildren, Sloane Doggett and Wes Doggett of Ranburn, AL, Jones C. Wynn of Atlanta, Ellen Wynn McBrayer and her husband, Scott McBrayer of Villa Rica, Brad Wynn of Douglas, Valerie Ward McCullough and her husband, Aaron McCullough of Carrollton, Tyler Ward and his wife, Jill Ward of Temple and Katy Wynn of Athens; great grandchildren, Rhett McBrayer, Wynn McBrayer, Allie McBrayer and Reese McBrayer, Tyler Coulon, Tori Ward, Kason Ward, Kole Ward, Logan Wynn, Ava McCullough, and Marla McCullough. Several nieces and nephews also survive.The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 3:00 Pm from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Dr. Jerry Brown officiating. Eulogy will be by Helen Ward.
