Hubert F. Tyson

Hubert Tyson, 81, of Temple, Ga passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1944, in Villa Rica, Georgia to the late Thomas Watson Tyson and the late Louella Timmons Tyson. He graduated from Douglas County High School in 1962. After graduation he went on to serve in the National Guard for 6 years before beginning a career in the trucking industry, retiring from what was then known as Yellow Freight. During this time he would marry Linda Stephens in 1967 and be faithfully devoted to her for 58 years while also adopting and raising their only son, Jonathan Tyson. He loved God and followed Jesus. In life he also enjoyed hard work, farming, and his family. In death he has peace and a home in Heaven where he will wait for us to join him. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Lewis Tyson, Ralph Tyson, Herman Tyson, Marvin Tyson; sisters, Marie Daniell, Katherine Robertson, and Marion Norton. He is survived by his wife Linda Tyson. Son, Jonathan Tyson (his wife Jessica Tyson, children Claudia and Nolan). Sister, Helen Tyson Weems; brothers, Kinney Tyson and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel, with a Family graveside service at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Concord United Methodist Church.
