Ian Allen Duncan, 67, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on September 10, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1958, the son of the late John Julian Duncan and the late Charlotte Marguerite Allen Duncan.

Ian lived a life characterized by his easygoing nature, humility, and generosity, traits that endeared him to all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Throughout his life, Ian was deeply passionate about sports. A proud supporter of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, he regularly cheered for his team with an enthusiasm that was contagious. His athletic pursuits began in high school, where he showcased his talent in wrestling and football, leaving behind fond memories of teamwork and competition. He also found joy in participating in bowling leagues, further demonstrating his love for camaraderie and friendly rivalry.

In addition to his athletic interests, Ian was an avid coin collector, a hobby that sparked his curiosity and provided hours of enjoyment. His collection reflected not only his passion for history and numismatics but also his meticulous nature as a locksmith, highlighting his attention to detail and dedication to his interests.

Ian's legacy is defined not just by his career and hobbies but by the character he exhibited in his everyday life. He is survived by his sisters, Suzanne (John) Bilbo, and Lauren Colburn.

In accordance with his wishes he will be cremated. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.

He leaves behind a community that will miss his warmth and good humor dearly. Though he has departed from this world, Ian’s spirit and values will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of calling him a friend.
