Mrs. Ida Mae Dewberry Ivey, 99, of South Van Wert Road, Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia. She was born December 31, 1905, in Carroll County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Robert Edward Dewberry and the late Mary Jane Turkett Dewberry. Mrs. Ivey was the oldest member of First Baptist Church in Temple. She had worked at Sewell Manufacturing for 10 years as a seamstress and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wilmeth Ivey and sons, James Allen Ivey and Gene Ivey. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and John Cramer of Villa Rica and Jane and Max Ellis of Villa Rica; son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Mary Ivey of Temple; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 9, 2005 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Dr. J. B. Marlow, Dr. Rick Holcombe and Rev. Frank Richardson officiating. Musical selections will be rendered by Carol Richardson and Ben Pilgreen. Interment will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Temple, Georgia.
