Ina V. George Swafford

Mrs. Ina V. George Swafford, 78, of Temple, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bremen. Mrs. Swafford was born June 30, 1929 in Carroll County, Georgia the daughter of the late James Oscar George and the late Matilda Swanga George. Mrs. Swafford was a retired seamstress and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollie Delveus Swafford; sisters, Ruth Bailey, and Fannie Hosten; brothers, Joseph Harvey “Shorty” George, Henry George, Roland George, Thomas George, and Bill George; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Swafford, and Charles Donald Swafford. Survivors include daughter and son in-law, Glenda and Terry Finley of Fruithurst, Alabama; sons and daughters in-law, Gene and Lynn Swafford of Temple, Charles and Linda Swafford of Temple, Eddie and Rachel Swafford of Dallas, and Lee and Kathy Swafford of Temple; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, March 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Powell Chapel in Villa Rica. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
