Mr. Ira Daniel âDanâ Camp, 77, of Merchants Drive, Dallas, Georgia formerly of Douglasville passed away Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Tranquility Hospice in Austell. He was born June 2, 1932, in Winston, Georgia. He was the son of the late Ira Arthur Camp and the late Maggie Lou Eidson Camp. Mr. Camp was retired from Lockhead as an Instructor and was a former Douglas County Deputy Sheriff. Dan loved his family, enjoyed a good game of golf with his friends, all sports, and genealogy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers: Pat Camp, Jack Camp and Gene Camp and a granddaughter Cindy Reece. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Denise and Charlie Mott of Marietta, son and daughter in-law, Ira Daniel âDannyâ Camp Jr. and Phyllis of Dallas; his brother, Kenneth Max Camp of Centre, AL; Grandchildren, Bobby Reece, Wendy Reece, Shannon Reece, Mike McGregor, and Mark McGregor, six great-grandchildren, one niece and five nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 12:00 Noon from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Rev. Johnny White officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 Pm at the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home.
