Irma Gertrude Hix

Mrs. Irma Gertrude Wendorf Hix, age 90 of Dallas, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021. She was born February 1, 1930 in Hanau, Germany, the daughter of the late Mr. Erik Ernst Wendorf and the late Mrs. Juliane Schmidt Wendorf. Mrs. Hix worked for Camp Cap Company as a seamstress. She loved her family and her church. She enjoyed her flowers, gardening and liked to cook all types of delicious foods. Mrs. Hix was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Mr. William Clay Hix; son, Robert Hix; one brother; three sisters. Mrs. Hix is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margarete and James Powers of Carrollton, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Patricia Hix; sisters and brother-in-law, Edi and Bill Wayt of White Post, Virginia, Ursula Golik of Ronneburg, Germany; three grandchildren, Toby and Sonia Powers, Tessa and Scott Thomas, Tanja and Thomas Cochran; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 1:00 PM from Pine Ridge Baptist Church with Bro. Toby Powers and Bro. Scott Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
