J. Edgar

Mr. J. Ralph Edgar, age 99, of Douglasville, passed away, Thursday, November 27, 2014. He was born November 20, 1915 in Jefferson City, TN the son of the late Mr. Howard Patton Edgar and the late Mrs. Alice Henry Edgar. Mr. Edgar served in the Army serving in World War II. Mr. Edgar later became owner of a Metal Roofing Company. He loved gardening, singing gospel music and most of all he loved family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Jean Wieland Edgar. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Barbara Edgar of Savannah, Mark and Tracy Edgar of Savannah; step-daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Winton Moreland of Douglasville; grandchildren, Taylor Edgar, Ansley Edgar, Jeff and Jennifer Moreland; great –grandchildren, River and Dylan Moreland. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Services will be conducted Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Douglasville with Pastor, Dr. John Pennington and Sunday School Teacher, Guy Ellis officiating.
