Mr. Jack D. Postell, 81, of Cumming, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Gold City Convalescent Home in Dahlonega, Georgia. He was born July 31, 1925 in Paulding County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Mr. Ross Postell and the late Mrs. Mattie Elsberry Postell. Mr. Postell was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Having served during World War II. He worked as a truck driver and retired after more than 20 years service from Roadway Express. Mr. Postell was of the Baptist Faith. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Marion Hitchcock Postell of Cumming; his sons and daughter-in-law, Randal Postell of Villa Rica and Jimmy and Charlotte Postell of Villa Rica three step-daughters, Cheryl Bice of Greenville, Judy Glover of Powder Springs, and Linda Johnson of Duluth; his step-son, William Elliott of Snellville; his brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Betty Postell of Dallas; his grandson, Jamie Postell of Villa Rica; 5 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 3 step great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Georgia with Rev. Keith Lee officiating. Musical selections will be by The Platts. Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica, Georgia.
