Mr. Jack Elliott Preston, age 51, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Friday, July 3, 2015. He was born April 19, 1964 in Texas the son of Mr. Joe Don Preston and Mrs. Linda Moser Preston. During his high school days, he was a member of the competitive dive team. He married Elizabeth Ann Sorbet on October 23, 2001. He was an Arborist having worked on the trees for the Denver Botanical Gardens and the Denver Country Club. He was very athletic and was an avid outdoorsman that especially loved his chickens. He enjoyed dancing, riding horses and was a great skier. He had a special way with words and came up with clever sayings that kept his family and friends laughing. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Sorbet of Douglasville; his mother, Linda Moser Preston of Texas; his father, Joe Don Preston of New Mexico; sister, Liz Preston; brother, Greg Preston; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglaville, Friday, July 10, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Grieme officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Family and Friends that attend the service are encouraged to dress casual or wear camo in memory of Jack, who enjoyed wearing casual clothing.
