Mrs. Jackie Mae Cook, age 87, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Cook was born March 18, 1921 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late Mr. Jack Kilgore and the late Mrs. Frances Nolan. She worked for and retired from the Villa Rica Knitters as a packer. She was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Waymon F. Cook and her son, James Cook. Survivors include her daughter, Edna House of Villa Rica; her sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Johnnie Cook of Rockmart and Wayne and Doris Cook of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Neal and Doris Kilgore of Anniston, Alabama and Robert and Lucille Kilgore of Sax, Alabama; her sister-in-law and her husband, Lois and David Gentry of Carrollton; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Pastor Dwayne Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery in Buchanan, Georgia. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica on Friday, December 26, 2008 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
