Jacky Franklin Bell, age 73, passed away at his home on May 7, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1950, in Douglasville to the late Mr. Homer Bell and the late Mrs. Dorothy Strickland Bell.
Jacky will always be remembered as a good husband and father who cherished his family above all else. He was a skilled machinery mechanic and during his lifetime, Jacky had an array of hobbies and interests. He had a particular love for fishing and hunting. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, often hunting in his own expansive backyard. Jacky's dedication to his family was unwavering, and he took immense pride in his children and grandchildren, considering them his proudest accomplishment.
Described as family-oriented and a people person, Jacky had a gentle and reserved nature that endeared him to all who knew him. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word.
In addition to his parents, Jacky is preceded in death by his brothers, Terry Bell, Jimmy bell and Ray Bell; sister, Patricia Crenshaw; sister-in-law, Jane Bell.
Jacky is survived by his loving wife, Marcia Bell; son, Gary Bell; daughters, Paula (Tim) Horsley, Derinda Bell, and Karla (Robert) Williamdyke; grandchildren, Wyatt Horsley, Bailey Horsley, Zachary Bell, Jeremy Bell, Kayla Holcomb, Jacob Parson, and Jessica Hatfield; brother, Jerry Bell; sisters, Janey (Steve) Hubbard and Debralynn (Lewis) Cole; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Jacky Bell was cremated.
