Mrs. Jacqueline Purcell Blackwell, age 75, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013. She was born August 1, 1938 in Atlanta, Georgia the daughter of the late Mr. Johnnie Eugene Purcell and the late Mrs. Frances Lucille Blankenship Corall. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Douglasville and retired as a manager for AT&T. She loved traveling to the beach. Blessed with six children, she was devoted to her family and cherished her roles of wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, Samuel Guinn. She is survived by her loving husband, John Blackwell of Villa Rica; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Larry Cobb of Douglasville, Vicki and Orlando Arjona of Kennesaw, and Lisa and Clete Luartes of Houston, TX; three sons and daughters-in-law, Don and Tanya Weaver of Sharpsburg, Charles Weaver of Villa Rica, and Doug and Jamie Weaver of Tuscaloosa, AL; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Dr. John Pennington officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Kennesaw. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.jones-wynn.com.
