James Adams

Mr. Jerry Dial “J. D.” Adams, age 70, of Austell passed away December 12, 2013. He was born July 16, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Malcom Dial Adams and Mrs. Martha Cozette Hilton Ivey. Mr. Adams was a retired Law Enforcement officer with the City of Atlanta Police Dept. His service began April 1965 and he retired with 29 years of service in September 1994. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Puig Watkins of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Malcom D. and Pam Adams of Tallapoosa; step-mother, Irene Adams of Tallapoosa; nieces and nephews, Derek and Amie Puig of Villa Rica, Eric and Heather Puig of Winston, Toby and Kim Adams of Tallapoosa, Rena and Wesley Dunn of Tallapoosa; several great nieces and great nephews and special companion, his dog, Sammy. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Monday, March 17, 2014 from 1:00 Pm until 2:00 PM. Memorial Services will be conducted Monday, March 17, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Stephen George officiating.
