Mr. James Charles “Charlie” Allen, 57, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017. He was born October 8, 1959 in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. James Franklin Allen and Mrs. Myrl Janelle Harris Allen. He worked as a truck driver. He was of the Baptist Faith. He loved riding motorcycles, especially riding through the country. He enjoyed fishing and old cars. He had a deep love for his family and his dogs. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Alexander Allen; and sister, Denise Tyson. He is survived by his wife, Beth Christina Pietrzak Allen of Douglasville; daughters, Alex Soverns of Villa Rica and Blake Soverns of Carrollton; sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Falina Williams of Rockmart and Justin Williams and Bethany Converse of Douglasville; his mother, Myrl Janelle Harris Allen of Douglasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and Leon Morgan of Douglasville, Janis and Ted Hulsey of Douglasville and Lynn Allen of Lithia Springs; four grandchildren, Aayden, Amos, Ollie Dale, and Levi; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Monday, March 6, 2017 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville with Brother James Biddy officiating.
