James Aubrey Bartley

Mr. James Aubrey Bartley, also known as "Hobo" by his friends, age 76 of Wedowee, Alabama passed away Monday, July 19, 2021. He was born July 30, 1944 in Washington, DC, the son of the late Mr. William Reedy Bartley and the late Mrs. Catherine Hawkins Bartley. Mr. Bartley loved going hunting and fishing. He enjoyed being with children and always enjoyed having fun, he never met a stranger. He loved playing Santa at the hospital several times for the preemie party. Mr. Jim was wealthy to be blessed with many wonderful friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Joyce Cornelius Bartley; and several siblings. Mr. Bartley is survived by daughters and sons-in-laws, Susan Horner of Douglasville, Georgia, Sandy and Rob Young of Heflin, Alabama, Sharon and Russell Hibbs of Lincoln, Alabama; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville Monday, July 26, 2021 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, July 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home of Douglasville. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Mt.
