James Bearden

Mr. James Wilfred Bearden, age 81, of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He was born November 7, 1931 in Ellenwood, GA the son of the late Mr. Aaron Aquilla Bearden and the late Mrs. Cora Allene Bivins Bearden. Mr. Bearden served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He later retired from Exide Technologies after thirty years of service. He was a member of the American Legion in Villa Rica.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Mae Buice Bearden; brother, Jerry Bearden; sisters, Naomi Riddle, Lois Mosley and Clois Sturgeon.He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Steve Tidwell of Draketown, June and Frankie Burt of Alabama, Jayne and Brent Meyer of Lawrenceville, Kristy and Darren Bray of Williamson, Kelly and Tony Cavender of Stockbridge, and Susan and Sam Henderson of Villa Rica; son, Jim Bearden of Villa Rica; sisters, Lovella Anthony of Douglasville, Margie Branham of Murphy, North Carolina, Mary Ann Eubanks of Lawrenceville. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren survive.The family will receive friends from Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, January 21, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Brother Randy Shirley officiating. Eulogy will be provided by Brent Meyer.
