James Carroll

Mr. James “Peck” Franklin Carroll, age 84, of Douglasville, passed away, Tuesday, December 27, 2016. He was born March 3, 1932 in the New Georgia community, the son of the late Mr. John Moses Carroll and the late Mrs. Susan Williams Carroll. Mr. Carroll loved the outdoors, especially being on the lake. He loved being with his family and friends. He was helpful to everyone and made them feel loved. He also enjoyed cars. Mr. Carroll retired as an Inspector from Generals Motors after 33 years of service.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Henry Carroll.He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, LaWanda and Chris Lunsford of Douglasville, Deborah and Todd Ellis of Heflin, AL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Annette and Ray Parson of Tifton, Estelle Smith and Mark Couch of Villa Rica; brothers and sisters-in-law, John Carroll of Lithia Springs, Paul and Delena Carroll of Lithia Springs, Ron and Marty Carroll of Georgia; brothers and sisters, Carol Seals of Carrollton, Lorene and the late Johnny Amandolia of Austell, Jane Garland of Lithia Springs, Mayris and Grover Tatum of Smyrna, Tony and Faye Henry of Smyrna; grandchildren, Brandon and Kristi Lunsford of Winston, Brittney Mickle of Bremen, Alaina and Davan Abney of Dallas, Jonathon Ellis of Temple; great-grandchildren, Austin Connell, Grant Lunsford, Kenzlie Radcliff and Kason Mickle; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Eulogy by Mr. Chris Lunsford. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
