James Chatham

Mr. James Alfred Chatham, age 77, of Douglasville, passed away, Saturday, June 1, 2019. He was born June 28, 1941 in Chamblee, GA the son of the late Mr. Buel Chatham and the late Mrs. Geneva McCurry Chatham. Mr. Chatham served in the United States Army. He worked for Yellow Freight as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Faye Goss Chatham.He is survived by his son, James Byron Chatham of Douglasville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nelda and Danny Merritt of Dallas, J.L. and Rachel Blackwell of Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Wilburn and Linda Chatham of Cartersville; sisters-in-law, Carl and Frances Gooch of Marietta; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Memorial Services will be conducted Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Morgan officiating.
