Mr. James Wayne Cook, 61, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away Monday, August 11, 2014 at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. He was born January 30, 1953 in Douglasville, Georgia the son of the late Mr. James Moses Cook and the late Mrs. Sarah Helen Harper Brown. He worked for Pike Electrical Company for 27 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, James Tristin Mitchell Banks; and a brother, Jimmy Cook. He is survived by his wife, Anita Dearth Cook of Villa Rica; daughter, Traci Banks of Douglasville; stepdaughters, Azuree Williams of Blackshear and Autumn Alley of Ripley, TN; sister, Patricia Baker of Hampton; brother, Randall Cook of Villa Rica; eight grandchildren, Timmy Land, Anslee Banks, Bailee Banks, Dakota Martin, Cody Williams, Chase Williams, Caden Williams and Chance Williams; sisters-in-law, Candy Cook, Kim Brewer and Cynthia Dearth; two special brothers-in-law, Pete Meek and Jeff Baker; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica, Friday, August 15, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Villa Rica. Interment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica. Serving as pallbearers will be Timmy Land, Dakota Martin, Cody Williams, Doug Banks, Tim Land, and Scott Williams. Messages of condolence to the family may be sent at www.jones-wynn.com.
