James Coy Morris

Mr. James Coy Morris, age 71, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008. He was born May 18, 1936 in Atlanta, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Owen Morris and the late Mrs. Georgia Bonner Morris. He retired as Master Sergeant from the U.S. Air Force having served in two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed designing web pages for Safeside Association and for Christian Ministries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Morris. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Godfrey Morris of Douglasville; sons, James Morris, Dwayne Morris and John Morris all of Tampa, FL; sister, Carole Morris of Marietta; brother, Bill Morris of Meansville; granddaughter, Cheryl Morris of Tampa, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
