Mr. James Edward Dycus, age 72, of Temple, Georgia passed away Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Heartland Hospice. He was born May 19, 1935 in Gordon County, Georgia the son of the late Mr. Robert Jerry Dycus and the late Mrs. Mary Etta Haynes Dycus. He was a retired cabinetmaker and former owner of Dycus Cabinet Company in Temple, Georgia. He enjoyed antique cars and coin collecting. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo James Dycus; sister, Juanita Harrington; and brothers, Roy Dycus, Coy Dycus, and Jack Dycus. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Steve Lawing of Douglasville and Nancy and Phil Hoke of Villa Rica; sons and daughters-in-law, James Robert and Francine Dycus of Carrollton and Timothy Wayne Dycus of Carrollton; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday April 11, 2008 at 1:00 PM from the Douglas Chapel of Jones-Wynn Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth McDaniel and Rev. Asa Mangham officiating. Interment will follow at County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home, Douglas Chapel, Thursday April 10, 2008 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
