James Bruce Elser

James “Jim” Bruce Elser, 75, of Temple, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was born on December 7, 1949, the son of the late Johnny Elser and the late Elizabeth Crooms Elser. Jim and Ann were members of Central Baptist Church on Cobb Pkwy in Marietta.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Elser; brother, Tommy Elser and sister, Connie Walker.

He is survived by his loving wife Ann Rowe Elser; children, Shannon Aradillas of Florida and Darian Elser of Texas; step-son, Caleb Butler of Temple; sister, Cheryl Elser of Temple; brothers and sisters-in-law, Randy and Dawn Elser of Marietta, Chris Elser of Temple, and Wayne and Sherri Walker of Alabama; two grandchildren, Ashton Fortner (Jess) and Nate Butler; numerous nieces and nephews

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Villa Rica Chapel with funeral services at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lamar Rackley and Rev. Leonard Chambers officiating. Musical selections provided by Mr. Mark Fuller and Mr. Josh Phillips. Interment will follow at Centerpoint Methodist Church Cemetery.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Nate Butler, Chuck Shadrix, Colt Shadrix, Jess Fortner, Jeff Hitchcock, and Marty Gayton.
